From June 19 until June 28, 2014, catch The Pillowman at The Space, The Arts Centre Gold Coast.
This dark comedy is not for the faint-hearted.
Set in a police interrogation room in a totalitarian state, a writer is questioned over the content of some short stories which bear an uncanny similarity to real-life, horrific murders of children.
Audiences will be shocked and entranced by this absorbing, twisting story, but also find themselves laughing at the most inappropriate of times.
Written by Irish playwright/screenwriter Martin McDonagh (In Bruges, Seven Psychopaths), The Pillowman won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Play in 2004.
A gripping, chilling theatrical event.
