Monty Python’s Life of Brian takes to the stage this winter with an exclusive new production at the Gold Coast’s Spotlight Theatre. Utilizing the timeless humour of the classic 1979 film combined with a full orchestra and operatic soloists, this hilarious new production by Eric Idle and John Du Prez is one that’s not to be missed for Australian fans of Britain’s funniest comedy group, Monty Python.
One of the most iconic satires on religion of all time, Monty Python’s Life of Brian follows the story of the very ordinary Brian Cohen, who when born in a stable beside Jesus on the very same day, becomes mistakenly taken for the messiah, sending him into a flurry of comedic scenarios that have become some of the most remembered scenes in comedy film history.
NOT THE MESSIAH (He’s a Very Naughty Boy) is Montyaaa Python’s Life of Brian in all its comedic glory, featuring all the timeless jokes and scenarios of the famous 1979 film but complemented with an original orchestral score and some of the region’s most talented stage performers.
